USDT on TRON is a smart contract. Every transfer runs that contract, and the network charges for it in energy. If your address has no energy, TRX is burned to pay for it.
How is renting cheaper than burning?
Energy comes from TRX that other holders have staked. Renting it for the time you need costs much less than the TRX the network would burn for the same work.
What if the recipient has never held USDT?
That transfer needs about 130,000 energy instead of 65,000. Choose two transfers in the calculator to cover it.

What happens when the rental time is over?
